I’ve always wondered what took so long to figure out how much easier it would have been to cut the bottom out of the basket. According to AI James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, first used peach baskets in 1891. And they started to cut the bottoms in 1906. It took 15 years to figure out. Seems kinda like a no-brainer to me.

In 1892, I would have just asked ChatGPT of a better way and the problem would have been solved.
