Sure feels like a lateral move for Glasner after the work he did at Palace. But given how Forest runs through coaches, Glasner should have better opportunities next year.

FA Community Shield tomorrow between Arsenal and Manchester City. Match will be at 9:00 AM Central and will air here in the states on ESPN.

This year's match will be held in Cardiff due to Wembley being booked for a set of concerts with the Weeknd.

Have not yet watched the match. Any insight? I like Maresca but am not a City fan.

I only was able to catch the 2nd half but Arsenal scored within 23 seconds of the start of the match so that should tell you how things started off for City. The announcers seemed to think that Arsenal appeared more ready and fit for the season than City did.

If this keeps up for City though, I'd be surprised if Maresca lasts much past Boxing Day.

i was only able to watch bits and pieces but seemed like city had some good chances but really missing Rodri in the midfield

Elliot isn't an immediate answer, eh? I'm not sure where Cherki fits in a Maresca team - maybe he (Maresca) will adjust. He probably should.
