These guys are a joke coming back to get another year but these colleges are desperate enough to take these guys. Gone on with your damn life because If you wasn't good enough to get drafted after playing four years in college then adding another year won't change a damn thing. PITIFUL!!
Controversial opinion:
Making a million+ to continue playing basketball is good actually, and the only reason why it's notable is the NCAA made a dumb rule that 5th years aren't ok to play this year, only starting next.
Trimble is getting 3 million from Louisville and he has played 4 years of college basketball with averages of 7.7 ppg and and 29% shooter from the 3. Louisville is what you call a desperate team.
Here's a nugget for you...Maybe, just maybe, they realize they aren’t pro material and figure coming back to college to play the game they love, make a buttload of money, and enjoy another year of college life isn’t such a bad idea
What if it gets them millions of dollars for playing the game they love?
Pretty irresponsible if they were to pass that up (if you ask me).

He seems...fine? His stats are actually pretty similar to Andrej's... Do I want him on Illinois? No, but the move assumes that your coach is better than Hubert Davis so there might be potential to unlock, which IL knows they are and UL seems to believe Pat is.
Louisville is probably wrong, but it's wild to blame the player for cashing the check.

They're hosting some mid major kick off night. Nothing big.
I hope they implode. What they're doing is desperate, gross, without intention. Stacking talent isn't building teams. So many people forget what building chemistry and teams is all about, it's complimentary skills and culture fits. How is their previous starting SG gonna feel, I think he was with them last year?
I hope they blow, Kentucky blows, Tennessee blows. Personally don't want to see teams buying wins. Using the portal is one thing, treating it like Amazon is another.

I was just wondering the same earlier today…
All of these teams applied this same/similar tactic last year (I believe each of the three was in the top 10 for total NIL expenditure, but someone correct me).
Here were their preseason vs final ranks on KenPom:
Louisville - preseason 14, final 19
Kentucky - preseason 4, final 29
Tennessee - preseason 9, final 14
This year, each has less continuity than the D-1 average. If I was a betting man, I would wager each will underperform and we probably won't see a title contender from that group.
I hear how about Flory all the time, and I know he's good. Really good.
But I don't quite get all the hype.
