I want to make sure to give NarrowJ the credit here, as I'm taking this from his post:
Big Ten 3 worst teams were Maryland (119), Rutgers (125) and Penn St (139).
SEC 3 worst teams were Ole Miss (64), South Carolina (96) and Miss St (102).
Big East 3 worst teams were Butler (84), Xavier (94) and DePaul (99).
I forgot how horrific the ACC was last year, but not sure how our worst lines up with theirs.
Keep in mind, what is being discussed is the depth of the conference from top to bottom. The top half of the conference, as you point out, is extremely reputable. As you get to the bottom......it's pretty bad. All that said, an 18 team conference is bound to bottom out pretty hard. It's year to year on where that cut off is. Up until BB, we were part of the problem, not the solution, in football.
