Not sure he’s considered a late bloomer he’s a 3 year starter on varsity. The one knock he has is his height.

Another player I would like to add is Ronnie Gomiller from East St Louis. He also had elite speed and dominated mt carmel

Why is it always one or the other? Illinois thinks of itself as a big time school. Just about every other big time school has big donors giving to all three (Or at least 2) major sports. It's something I have never understood.

I’m 35, some of you on this board have followed this much longer than me.

I believe there is a large portion of the fan base that has never been asked to donate.

And a good chunk of what I would consider high net worth people over 20M+ that have never been asked to donate.

I could be wrong.

But I think there’s a disconnect with people that end up all over the country making big time dollars that don’t care about illini sports.
