He does.

Almost 0% chance Illini are ever seriously in the mix by his junior year.
yup
ND, Michigan or O$U much more likely , cuz he will want a ton of money from the get go , and that hasnt been our M.O.
its hard to give a frosh that kind of money when he wont play much for awhile

Might be a freshman, but he's turning 16 very soon. My oldest didn't turn 16 until the summer before their junior year. Maybe I should have held them back a year or two.
Jeebus. My oldest (now a college soccer player) turned 16 at the beginning of her senior year. I messed up.

Indiana commit Purcell will be 19 in a couple weeks. For quarterbacks its common to be held back a year

It’s sad that these 5 star studs never give us a chance
I bet he'd give us a chance if we matched money.

QBs are the toughest for anyone other than the richest program. Only one QB per team makes a meaningful contribution. Freshmen at other positions routinely get into the rotation so you can justify the money. For QB you just have to be filthy rich.

They all are perfectly willing to give us a chance. You want them to take a 50% discount to come here. That’s not going to happen.
I’ve Probaly said this before and will say it again….

If there’s ever a true salary cap with actual enforcement, actual consequences, I’d line up Bret against anyone in the country.

They’d get players, these top HS kids will come, top transfers would come….and they’d be a top 10 program. He’s done more with less than maybe anyone else the last 2 years. They are on track to be around $15M behind the top spenders in 24, 25, and 26.
