What do you guys think of this font instead of the Nike used one? It is from Robert’s Illiniboard and a 1988 program. It seems to be Chief related. Even without the Chief can we not give shuttle hints of our past?

Not a fan of no white outline. However, if we go O/B/B, I think these will look really good.

Love the idea, don't like the execution. Form follows function, the ILLINOIS has to be legible. I think this with maybe a decal on the back of the stripes would have been better.

IDK, the Beckman-era stuff was probably worse. This is, well, it's just ham-fisted. You can't read it. what a mess.

My first thought was the design is too busy. Maybe the result of over thinking it a bit. However, I really like the ongoing effort to create different designs, especially under the circumstances of the 25th anniversary. While these certainly won’t go down as memorable, as a one off, I’ll give them a pass.

My thought as well. I understand 100% why they are doing these and support them. Just don’t really like the execution. But it’s one game, and if we win no one will remember them.

Love these. Honestly, really well done. So much sharper once the stripes on top of the shoulders are removed… great designs overall!
