Great performance on the hill tonight by Peterson tonight against Atlanta. I also continue to be impressed by Bregman's defense. Made some incredibly complex plays look simple tonight.

I'm not sure why Counsell keeps going to this guy. Very few singular players costs you a baseball game, but he is directly responsible for 4 losses in the last 3 weeks. 5 if today holds true.
Yet, we keep seeing him.
8 outings since Aug 22. 6.1 innings 11 ER 4 HR. Shows how desperate the Cubs are in the bullpen to keep pitching him. 16.2 ERA?

Well, Cabrera continues to be useless. Zefferjahn is useless. Webb is useless. Thielbar is useless. That doesn't leave much.
I'm not sure if Palencia can be taken out of the "useless" category but WHY did Counsell take him out after facing one batter in the 6th ? And to make matters worse...to bring in Webb?
we need A LOT of luck in the wild card series

iirc, he basically hit +35 homers every year , won an MVP & made some decent money at the time
