Keenum is 2nd oldest Bears QB to win a start behind Todd Collins in 2010 at Carolina. Though obviously Case was more of a reason Bears won this game than Collins won that one for the Bears back then. (That Bears/Carolina QB matchup was Collins vs. Jimmy Clausen)

He's obviously not going to be this hot the entire time, but CK is a smart experienced qb that could do very well with Ben Johnson. He can't dig himself out of his own grave like Williams, but isnt digging his own grave 10 times a game like Williams either. Ben Johnsons offense is very effective with a qb with accuracy.

Well that was fun! I have to admit, with the way that Keenum floats the ball, I am very fearful of long passes to the sidelines. There were 2 that should have been pick 6's. They didn't happen, but I don't want to rely on them not happening again for the next few games. I feel better about the slants, swing passes and down the field strikes.

This happened with the final TD from Chicago, too. The clock looked like it hit 0 and then they went. The broadcast explained that the official in charge of watching for that looks at the play clock, and when it hits 0, they look at the ball. If the snap isn't eminent, they throw the flag. If it's in process, the play is allowed to go on without the flag.

I had the same thought, too, until that was explained.

When Rodgers was with the Packers the official would wait until the clock hit zero and look at Rodgers. If there was no snap he would check the clock again to be certain that it really said zero and then look at Rodgers again. if he still didn't snap it he might call delay of game.

This is a very, very difficult decision for Ben to make. If he goes with Bagent and it doesn't go well, he's going to be asked why in the world would he change the QB that just handed him a masterpiece?

On the flip side, if they do start Keenum and he flops, he'll be asked the same question regarding going one game too far when he had the true #2 available.

Whoever he goes with this week has to be the guy he commits to until Williams gets back.

I think Tyson gets the nod this week. He’s the #2 for a reason.

As good as Case was last night, he hadn’t been hit in weeks. A 38 year old, who isn’t particularly mobile, doesn’t have a strong arm, on a short week.. not an ideal situation. He had an amazing night, but I guarantee that dude is hurting today…

It’s not the games that make guys retire… It’s the recovery.

My main takeaway from that game is that the Bears have a genuinely talented HC.

Whomever it is under center will be ready for the Jets.
