IANAI, but my guess is that 19 year old Mirk did what 20 year old me did after an appendectomy and what 41 year old me did after a hernia operation — that is, rush back to work trying to prove he’s a He-Man only for realize rushing back may not have been the wise thing to do.

An emergency appendectomy - did it rupture? If it did, it is more invasive surgery.

And silver lining, he needed to be off his feet for a bit anyway. Both injuries can heal concurrently.

Mirk hurt his foot this offseason, he’s still recovering. An appendectomy is quite literally a setback on top of an original injury.

Can confirm, only w/gallbladder. He'll be pranking teammates within a week. Good to be 20-ish when this happens as he'll heal incredibly quickly.

Also good to get it out of the way. If this is gonna happen, do we want it this weekend or in late February?

Literally a week recovery for that appendectomy but the foot will keep him out past UCONN is my guess.

As a gall bladderless individual, I can confirm this assessment. Hopefully, both things allow him to heal fully. He can't rush the foot injury and come back too soon, one would presume, so this might be a blessing in some level of disguise.
