Mirk can’t catch a f’ing break.
Who has the Mirk voodoo doll?!? An appendectomy on top of everything else?????
IANAD, but as I understand it, modern appendectomy procedures are not as invasive as they used to be. Tiny incision and they essentially suck out the appendix. I would think recovery time should be minimal.
From Wed.IANAI, but my guess is that 19 year old Mirk did what 20 year old me did after an appendectomy and what 41 year old me did after a hernia operation — that is, rush back to work trying to prove he’s a He-Man only for realize rushing back may not have been the wise thing to do.
An emergency appendectomy - did it rupture? If it did, it is more invasive surgery.IANAD, but as I understand it, modern appendectomy procedures are not as invasive as they used to be. Tiny incision and they essentially suck out the appendix. I would think recovery time should be minimal.

I did find the phrasing “he’s had a continued setback” somewhat interesting.
Hopefully they're getting it all out of the way now and it's smooth sailing moving forwardFfs can we just string together a healthy season for once?! Or even a few consecutive months without freak accidents or uncommon medical ailments??
From Wed.

Can we blame the trainer?
Can confirm, only w/gallbladder. He'll be pranking teammates within a week. Good to be 20-ish when this happens as he'll heal incredibly quickly.IANAD, but as I understand it, modern appendectomy procedures are not as invasive as they used to be. As a gall bladderless individual, I can confirm this assessment. Hopefully, both things allow him to heal fully. He can't rush the foot injury and come back too soon, one would presume, so this might be a blessing in some level of disguise. Can confirm, only w/gallbladder. Also good to get it out of the way. If this is gonna happen, do we want it this weekend or in late February?
