I was about to post, "What's up with the State Farm cast iron bathtub?" Then realized it's the top of one of those rolling bins. :D

Can someone at Nike show the Illinois equipment staff how to put the helmet stickers on? How are they still not getting that right?

Beckman with the circle I on his visor. Couldn't get one that fits under the rebrand?

Glad I'm not the only one annoyed by this
He is front n center as the head coach and he decides to slap on the good ole' circle I. It goes great with the Shield on his chest.

Seriously amazes me - why can't someone fix it????

And Beckman with circle I, these things just call out the lack of attention to detail.

Anyway, win is a win - let's hope we make some serious strides next week or WKU will hang 50 on us.

Thought the uniforms looked fantastic on TV today. Looking forward to seeing what combo they go with next week.

maybe its my TV, but the color of the jersey is more orange-red than the color of the endzone, which looks clearly to be orange.

Am I the only one who thinks our jerseys , at least on TV, look reddish-orange ?

and his jacket with the shield had Illinois on the back in a font that was not the rebrand font

Only at Illinois do we pick nits about the coach having one part of the rebrand on his chest but not on his back or his forehead...my word.

+1,000,000

Our fanbase sometimes - or most of the time... :tsk:

Funny, for all the rebranding discussion here of which I was an active participant, I didn't have any reaction to the new unis when the game came. I did notice the sideline polos which seemed to be white and gray striped which seemed odd. I also saw a couple of the Nike polos in th stands and the "I" looked really cheap.

Any fanbase would do the same thing.

Yes. They looked reddish.

No. Any fanbase, having devoted significant time, energy, and money to an offseason rebrand, would expect the head football coach to wear the correct clothing. He's shown on the broadcast maybe hundreds of times.

Florida State noticed what Jimbo Fishers son was wearing on tv (under armour) and made sure that never happened again.

We still can't get someone to put the helmet stickers on straight or get TB a new visor.

Fine, I've got better things to do than freak out because of a visor but whatever, maybe that's just me.

No one is freaking out. But it's really not too much to ask to get the small things right. Especially when Beckman has been so vocal about how this effort is important to the program.

Fair enough. I mean what I'm about to say with 100% sincerity but has anyone thought about contacting Beckman or the athletic department asking why he doesn't wear an updated visor? There have been other instances where something like this has helped I believe, such as Robert's thoughts on the ushers at MS. Are there even any updated visors available?

The gray jersey is now listed as "discontinued" on fanatics. So....

I talked to someone at Gameday Spirit the other day and she said the day before they were supposed to put the gray jerseys out for sale, Nike notified them and said they had to return them because there some some kind of mistake with them. She didnt know what the specific mistake was.

I was wondering that as well. Beckman is obviously a visor guy so having an old logo (I didn't notice) is probably inevitable unless they made one specifically for him. They probably don't sell a lot of them, so I'm guessing in the manufacturing priority list it might not have been that high.

I'm really picky about these kinds of things, but for some reason this doesn't bother me at all. At the moment at least.

They looked that way to me in person, first thing I noticed. However they were still pretty sharp. Man I love the white helmets.
