That was NOT a "phantom offensive foul on Black". It may have been ticky-tack, but Black was called for an illegal screen because he never came set. The call was on the nit-picky side because the contact created by Black was minimal. I have seen that treated as a "play on" no call many times.

Watched the whole thing. Game of the year so far. Not pretty, but a tremendously hard-fought battle. Great ending. Notre Dame won, but the outcome was irrelevant--two great teams.

You are correct to be worried. The large-bodied Big Ten teams will be a problem for us. If the two new bigs (Ebo and Vesel) on the bench are not able to contribute by the meat of the Big Ten schedule, the Illini will be in trouble. I will be happy if only one of them is helping.

Agree. Alstork only had one FG attempt, but his attitude, hustle, and floor game was much improved from the UT-Martin game. I think that he will be fine.
