That's a 15-20 minute drive from campus. That would be pitiful if there really wasn't an Illini presence there.
Bloomington, Indiana is well within driving distance for an assistant coach to have drove over this morning.
Hopefully with all of these offers out, the Illini can land some serviceable names. Though obviously it wouldn't be a bad thing, Illinois doesn't need a team full of five star players to win. Watching Virginia play last night, and I haven't went and checked to be sure, but there can't be many...
Kipper turning his back when Underwood was chewing his butt. Haha, yep. Everything is fine. Let's not act like it isn't possible for a coach to lose the locker room in less than one season. About to get ran off of the floor by Penn St.
What a dumpster fire.
Unfortunately, this is the real world, and none of them are on this team. We also don't have anything in that regard coming in.
Here in the real world, and there are issues in that locker room. Smith has no confidence in game situations, and not winning isn't the only factor at play there...
Being screamed at every time you touch the ball, or make a mistake is tolerable when you're winning.
A lot more like walking on eggshells shells when you're losing.
I think they need to start preparing for life without Smith, and possibly Lucas as well. Since neither one of them can hit an outside shot, I think Ayo can at least replace the production we have seen out of those two, because it's not likely he's going to start magically hitting 3's on a...
Expecting them to beat bad teams isn't a lofty expectation. Expecting players to show improvement as the season progresses isn't lofty expectations. I never even thought this team would be in tournament conversation, but to still be this bad at the end of the year is cause for concern, no?
This game is the cornerstone of my Illini fandom. I was seven years old, and it was the first game I had ever seen in person. My grandfather was a ticket holder for many years, and I can remember how cool I thought it was that he helped build the Assembly Hall and that he wanted me to tag a long...
I would be very surprised if two of the players you mentioned are even wearing Illini uniforms next year. Could easily see us actually having one less guard next year than we do this year.
It's only my opinion, but the longer a PG with a questionable outside shot is our only recruit coming in...
So is this the part where someone starts talking about the promise having basically every player back next year brings?
No evidence at all that this team will win more than 15 games next season.
Terrible.
I was watching when it happened. Honestly, who does that to their child on National Television?
While you're right on your assessment, I think it also shows that parents often make the whole process about themselves instead of really evaluating what their child really wants.
...or maybe Bama...
Robinson is the type of recruit that makes a difference in the teams success, even if he doesn't start. Really seems like the type of kid who is going to keep the guys ahead of him working hard. Hell, he might even be the best passer of all the QB's we have on campus next year. Obviously...
NCAA President, Mark Emmert, was reportedly made aware of dozens of allegations against MSU all the way back in 2010.
This is coming after the throne, fellas.
