I trust your opinion on all things related to Illini basketball. However, you have to admit our (fan base) ability to overhype players in the preseason.

I live in SW Virginia and by far it is Virginia Tech for football. The VT fans barely care about basketball. In fact, up until about 5 years ago, the football fan base thought that they were a perennial national champion contender. There is, maybe, 5% UVA merchandise…

I for one appreciate the “Insiders” input. To be honest, in the recruiting threads, I just skim through all of the posts until I find an “Insiders ” post. I don’t expect you guys to always be right, but you usually are.

I’m guessing it must irritate coaches who spent years paying their dues, and a relatively young Scheyer just be handed the keys to the Mercedes. Also, it must be so easy being a Duke fan.

I personally, do not understand why anyone would criticize this message boards “insiders”. I don’t expect them to 100% correct, however, they ARE usually correct regarding the info they provide. And to be honest, especially on threads like the previous Recruiting Thread, I just scroll through...

I agree. When you feature Dickinson and Storr, not a lot of good can come of it.

My thoughts too.

It pains me to say it, but the SEC teams look much more athletic and physical than the Big Ten teams. I’d be surprised if a Big Ten team makes it to the elite 8. However, I am usually wrong about these things. Go Illini!
