Yep, it can absolutely happen to anyone ... I think everyone here still thinks OSU is a talented ball club that is going to knock off some "better" teams the rest of the year, but MAN have they fallen off! Also, as several people have mentioned including me, this season has just been nuts. In the past two weeks alone:Man tOSU last 5 have been my worst nightmare scenario for the Illini. They played well against PU, Maryland, and Rutgers but just couldn't find a way. 3 respectable losses though. But then you also lay 2 eggs against Minnesota and Nebraska.
I'm still hoping a similar stretch happens to Purdue. But it's getting harder and harder to see them finishing with more than 5 B1G losses.
