Man tOSU last 5 have been my worst nightmare scenario for the Illini. They played well against PU, Maryland, and Rutgers but just couldn't find a way. 3 respectable losses though. But then you also lay 2 eggs against Minnesota and Nebraska.

I'm still hoping a similar stretch happens to Purdue. But it's getting harder and harder to see them finishing with more than 5 B1G losses.
Yep, it can absolutely happen to anyone ... I think everyone here still thinks OSU is a talented ball club that is going to knock off some "better" teams the rest of the year, but MAN have they fallen off! Also, as several people have mentioned including me, this season has just been nuts. In the past two weeks alone:

Michigan State wins at #15 Wisconsin
#25 Marquette wins vs. #6 UConn
Texas A&M wins vs. #20 Missouri
Kentucky wins at #5 Tennessee
NC State wins vs. #16 Miami (FL) in OT
Indiana wins vs. #18 Wisconsin
Vanderbilt wins vs. #15 Arkansas
Creighton wins vs. #19 Providence
Florida wins vs. #20 Missouri
Clemson wins vs. #24 Duke
Oregon wins vs. #9 Arizona
New Mexico wins at #23 San Diego State
St. John's wins at #6 UConn
#13 Kansas State wins vs. #2 Kansas in OT
Wake Forest wins vs. #19 Clemson
Seton Hall wins vs. #15 UConn
West Virginia wins vs. #14 TCU
DePaul wins vs. #8 Xavier
Missouri wins vs. #25 Arkansas

And we still have these fun matchups the rest of this week that are at least somewhat likely to further shake up a wacky top 25!

#23 Rutgers at Michigan State
#5 UCLA at Arizona State
#17 Miami (FL) at Duke
#14 TCU at #2 Kansas
#5 UCLA at #11 Arizona
#10 Virginia at Wake Forest
#12 Iowa State at Oklahoma State
#9 Tennessee at LSU
#20 Marquette at Seton Hall
#21 Baylor at Oklahoma
#4 Alabama at Missouri (doubt it, lol...)
#7 Texas at West Virginia

Very fun season so far, and the shuffle makes it all the more likely that if this team keeps coming together and improving ... we can absolutely rise to the top!

Thanks for the summary, lots of work on your part, really emphasizes how fluid the situation is, in the BIG and across all P5 conferences, and we are, what, only 40% into the pre tourney season.

This makes all the bracketology a lot of guess work, SWAG

I think early entry to NBA, transfer portal, and Covid seniors finally leaving have resulted in power teams playing more freshman and transfers. These teams should gell by end of season but right now are still learning how to play together

The only team benefiting from this is a very mediocre Gonzaga who plays no one.

I saw a little bit of OSU's game this year and I think they are OK. They can knock down some 3pt shots but their athleticism and length are just OK. I think they are a little bit unlucky but I don't see them overpowering other B1G teams too often unless their threes drop like rain.

Overall a nice slate of B1G games on tap for tonight to keep an eye on. MIch St and Purdue playing and hopefully losing.
My bad, need Mich St to bring Rutgers down to our level of losses.

At my daughter's swim meet and can't look it up but haven't they been the beneficiary of a couple game changing calls that basically handed them a win? If so, hardly unlucky.

Michigan vs maryland - close at half but seems like half the arena is empty? Glad we can count on big crowds at SFC.

ru has absolutely crapped their shorts the last 6-7 minutes against msu........Looks like their trying to miss shots and make bad passes.....
It really really does.................

LMU takes down Gonzaga in Spokane. I’m starting to become numb to our roller coaster of a season as it seems anyone can beat anyone any night. Good grief.

ASU leading UCLA 35 to 30 at the half. UCLA trying to win their 13th in a row.

Seems like a long time ago when we defeated them.
