1/4 Games: #1 Kansas 109, #2 Oklahoma 106 3OT

For a triple OT game #1 vs. #2, this has left a lot to be desired. Players have seemed tired throughout the OTs and the play has suffered.

Also, Lon needs to get Hield some shots when they have the ball tied late. The man has 40+ pts on like 18 shots. Very efficient.

Are you watching the same game I am? Kansas has been face guarding Hield making those shots hard to come by. This has been an extremely entertaining g game. I doubt there is a better game all season.

Make that 46 on 22 shot attempts. Oh yeah, and Dickie V. was commending Frank Mason's defense on him tonight.

Really? It is a 3ot game between 1 and 2. Enjoy it!

I guess I just like multi-OT games where teams are making plays and making shots to extend the game, not getting there by default due to poor shots that miss.

Illinois gets warning from official if they play that way guarding ball out of bounds.

I wouldn't have had Hield take the ball out of bounds. He isn't a great passer.

That was worse than what Illinois does. In fact, I'm not sure he didn't touch the ball in foul territory, which is supposed to be a technical.

Can your hands and arms go across the out of bounds line? Is it like a plane that you can't cross? If your feet can't cross line, why can your hands?

Nothing can cross the plane. That is why we get warnings. Once you are warned you can be assessed a technical and if you touch the ball out of bounds, it is supposed to be an automatic technical.

But Self gets big men to the league.

Hey, if a guy wants to take a pass on the chance to work with the legendary Dustin Ford, that's his loss. He gets guys to the league, too - the league in Israel, the league in Turkey, the league in Azerbaijan, the league on Pitcairn Island... :D
