Been watching the RU vs. nebby game and a couple of thoughts.................
nebby very undisciplined on both offense and defense.....basically 1 on 1 on O and they play way off on D in the backcourt........
Walker for nebby is mobile and has good moves around the paint and rim.........
McGowens the 5 * frosh is a chucker.......he's got skills but out of control a lot , as is Verge.............
the other center , I believe it's Andre , is mobile also.............
It's a road game so that has to be factored in , but we are 11-2 in our last 13 road games ....I believe I'm right on that but not 100 % certain.....

edit : these announcers are terrible ....Just said Mulcahy has the BEST footwork of any guard in the B1G.......i kid you not........raving on him like he's gonna be the B1G POTY.............................I feel sick listening to their garbage.....

If nebby plays D against us like they are today against RU , then we should have a chance to break the school 3 pointer's made record ............Plummer could have a shot to break the players record for 3 pointers made in a game.........nebby playing 3-4 feet below the arc in man to man or zone.....

Well, since ePaul draws about 3,500 per game in their fancy 10,500 seat arena, I think we could easily make it about 65-70% Orange.Think they’d kick ‘Nova out if they lost to DePaul? Down at half and currently #19. As an MBA alum, I’m cheering for DePaul regardless.
P.S. I hope we get paired to play AT DePaul soon for the Gavitt Games. The new arena looks awesome, and I anticipate the crowd would be about 50% Illini fans, possibly more.
Fortunately they'll lose at least 2 of those games.

82-74 misery at the under 4 minute media timeout.....misery is playing to lose .......Pickett missed a WIDE open bunny ( I laughed ) and then on the next possession misery had the ball in the paint on a rebound and passed up another open shot to throw it into the corner for a 3 pter....

Just my opinion...but I think the announcers have been misinformed!
We should easily get back in the rankings as teams above are losing. Texas lost today. Others have lost earlier in the week. We had two convincing wins which will get us well inside the top 20.

The good news is it only infects coaches
So, UM has 7 (actually all scholie players) to play - BUT, no coaches. So, B10 had to cancel

I just don't hate Missouri that much. Maybe it's because of my Cardinal baseball fandom.
I normally like to Missouri do well enough after playing the Illini to JUST miss the tournament. Makes them a decent win on Illinois' resume.
Also, it helps Illinois get ranked again. (Yeah, I think that matters)

I would think Cardinals fandom wouldn’t endear one toward MU … Southern IL is clear Cardinals country, Central IL is split and we battle Mizzou for relevancy in the St. Louis area itself. However, I agree I want them to get back to being good enough for the sake of the rivalry.
