Michigan brought down to earth. Very good D by L,ville.
And believe it or not, the kittykats actually looked pretty solid in beating Boston College tonight.Michigan brought down to earth. Very good D by L,ville.
I was thinking the exact same thing. The good news is that we're going to have PLENTY of chances for quality wins. That's the bonus of being in a strong conference. From what I've seen so far... our season could very well be over by mid January...that upper half finish in the B1G is looking less and less likely at this point

We need to bribe someone to teach our kids to play D on a consistent basis, with some self-pride. Kids need to take it personally.
Defense is clearly coachable.

Which is why I said "bribe" . Perhaps start a crowdfund?
I for one was impressed with L'ville's D.
Chris Mack is known as a very good defensive coach. His publication "Packline Defense, The Ultimate Guide" is excellent read. We need to get BU and staff copies of it.
Here you go. Free of cost too:
PACKLINE DEFENSE :: ULTIMATE GUIDE - Chris Mack, Xavier Basketball (96 pages PDF)
Used Mack’s guide to teach the packline at my previous school. Not my personal cup of tea defensively, but definitely effective.
They used to send out some great coaching stuff when he was Xavier. I haven’t checked to see if he still does it, but I think I saved one that was like 117 pages of their favorite out of bounds plays.
