I don’t think we can play with the blueprint NW used today but a couple things from this game
1. Edey struggled passing out of the double team worse than Kofi
2. If PU guards are off they are very beatable

It is certainly do-able, but there is no room for error.
EIU over Iowa
They are so similar to the 2022 Illini. Small guards, big guy isn't a great passer, struggle with length, struggle with the press.

Eastern Illinois over Iowa is bigger in terms of upset. Still a huge huge win for northwestern!
Purdue has lost back to back games. If they lose one more and we win out. The last game of the season can be for the regular big ten title. It has now become possible. We owe NW.
So, the Illinois loss at NU will be a "good" loss, even it could've been a great win.

Yeah, odds are low in reality. However, it’s not asinine … and that’s all we can ask for! Given Purdue’s close calls and this loss, we (ALMOST entirely) control our own destiny to at least make that last game in West Lafayette matter.
Don't recall but I do know they were 31 point favorites and lost
Freshmen.
