Just don’t see Michigan having a talent advantage on us. When you have 2 of the best 3 players in the league (and by a considerable margin) that just isn’t true. And if you add Trent over Smith as a significant advantage that leaves Livers, Wagner, Brooks, and Brown vs Ayo, Ace, Grandy, and DaMonte (with Giorgi as a sleeper). Offense plus (?) for Michigan, defense plus for Illini. Don’t believe those guys can beat us with defended 3 pt. shots. Don’t believe they can defend us in transition. Keep um out of the paint and we win. Dickinson will need oxygen by the second half. Just hope he dunks on Kofi early and he may also need medical attention.

Smith is a great player. Him and Trent are equals IMO.

The guy we can't match up with at all is Chaundee Brown. He's a menace on the boards and can really stretch the floor.

In general, I don't think there are matchups we can exploit and and neither for them. It will come down to who makes more tough shots and grabs 50/50 balls.

Let's not get carried away here...we beat Indiana in OT, nearly lost to Nebraska in OT, and Northwestern was down to the wire. We beat a Minn team that was hobbled. Mich and OSU just played a National Championship caliber game. We have a undersized, inconsistent 4, and a loose cannon as a first guard off the bench. If we play our "A" game, and Mich or OSU play their "A" game, they win. They are more talented. We are good, but we need to elevate our game to win against either of these teams. Mich has one loss all year, and btw, OSU isn't the same team that beat us earlier either-they are better and were coming off a 7 game win streak I believe. That Dickinson "character" is going to be a great basketball player, already exceptional.

Hmmm... Yeah, I see. IF I pick and choose the games I want to look at, yeah, they are going to beat us like a drum...

However, if I pick the games, I am taking the Minnesota game. You know, the Minnesota team that beat UM and we just trounced. THAT one.

The comparison vs common opponents always problematic. Last year we trounced Purdue, Purdue trounced MSU, and MSU trounced us. Lots of factors that aren’t stats.
