Alstork has visits with SC, LSU, and Louisville. Think we have good chance, SC and Louisville pretty full and with pitch we made to get him to NBA, I see us getting nod for another Mark in O&B.:chief:

Does anyone know LSU's scholarship situation? Their verbal commits page suggests they're full as well, but that site isn't always totally up to date.

Regardless, breaking down Alstork's options seems to put us in a good spot:

Pitt - Team is facing a huge rebuild after loosing their entire starting 5 (off a team that finished near the bottom of the ACC last year). Sure Alstork would get PT, but they're not going to win many games next season.

Georgetown - Plenty of PT opportunity here, but again, a rebuilding situation. More opportunity to win than at Pitt, but still not a likely tournament team (but, their situation isn't all that different to ours).

Illinois - Obviously I'm biased, but we seem to provide a great balance of available PT and potential to make the dance. With Alstork, I think we're a bubble team, especially with we can also add Agau or another big body. Alstork is also likely to get 30+ mins/pg here.

South Carolina - Clearly a hot program, but no open scholarship without someone else transferring (I believe that's still the case after the Minaya commitment). There would be open PT with Thornwell moving on, and a chance to win, but no open scholarship it might be a mute point.

LSU - This was a baaaaad team last year (finished the season 1-17). That being said, they were incredibly young and with Blakeney going pro, will have oddles of PT available. Regardless, this won't be an NCAA team in Will Wade's first season.

Louisville - Obviously a team that will win, but they also have quite a bit of talent on the wings, even with Donovan Mitchell going pro. I believe I also saw Pitino wanted to roll over their last open scholarship to 2018. It will be interesting to see how much mutual interest there is, but if Alstork's goal is truly to make it to the league, this doesn't seem like a great fit.

I think he was more referring to the fact that Badocchi felt like more of a slam-dunk type of commitment, yet that fell through. So he's not getting carried away on any transfers.

You're almost always (way) less than 50% against the field. There are extremely few slam-dunk commitments.

Well, seems the last reports we heard it was down to Illinois and Virginia as the only 2 realistic options. That's what? Somewhere around 50% I think, if my math skills aren't too far gone.
