Would take him, provided his off the court activities check out. Doesn't fill our immediate need in the post, but he would be a good fit in BU's offense as a skilled 4.

I feel he'd be a good get here but somewhere like Akron seems logical. Close to home, smaller school and Groce was very involved in his recruitment in high school.

Carlton Bragg and Kipper Nichols were workout partners, FYI. Not sure if they are close or just used same trainer and facilities during high school.

It came down to Kansas or Illinois for his final two.

Kansas, Kentucky, and Illinois but most believed that there were a lot less chances he would commit to Illinois over the other two.

Funny thing is that Bragg did say "Kentucky" in his announcement, only to correct himself and say "I'm sorry, Kansas."

No thanks, given our recent history of off the court issues...he can gladly take his skills elsewhere.

Somewhat off topic...what is little Paul doing now a days? Anyone know?

He's definitely had/has his issues (not legal) but that doesn't mean we don't take a look if BU is interested. Sitting a year for transferring maybe just what he needs and if he screws up during that then cut him loose.

Had that thought as well. The issue is that if you bring him in and count on that scholly being taken for the next three years, you run the risk of missing on recruits if it doesn't work out with him.

Yeah I'll pass on Bragg as well but he is a decent player. His off the court issues are concerning.

im not to worried about us missing out on guys, you have to figure we might get 1 guy in 2018 plenty of rides for 19. IF big IF he wanted to come here you take him and have him for 19 and 20, still would want a FR big but would make 19 and 20 look a bit better for bigs

Sitting a year is usually the last thing an athlete needs. But maybe a change of scenery will help.

Coach O was out at UK when Bragg was being recruited during his final year of HS, but potentially had some very early contact.

He was still at Kentucky through Bragg's junior year of high school. A kid like that had been recruited basically throughout high school.

Antigua did recruit Bragg.

"UK assistant coach Orlando Antigua was in Cleveland on Tuesday night to watch junior power forward Carlton Bragg play in a post-season game."

"Michael Graves, who is helping Bragg with his recruitment, confirmed the UK scholarship offer to the Herald-Leader. Graves said he spoke to UK assistant coach Orlando Antigua on Sunday, and the offer was extended."

"Bragg recently visited Kentucky unofficially and his mentor, Michael Graves, said the entire staff is recruiting him — though they have yet to offer. Head coach John Calipari and assistants John Robic and Orlando Antigua are involved in a “team effort,” Graves said, adding that he heard from Calipari on Monday and Robic on Tuesday

Assault charges were dropped and he was caught with a weed pipe. Let's not play it out like he was robbing gas stations. Im not worried about a kid who smokes a little weed. He has huge potential, we'd be crazy not to take him in my opinion.

Gotta sit one anyway. Doesn't solve our immediate issue.
