2017 Basketball Transfer Thread

Morrow, a 6-foot-7 forward, played in 24 games, averaging 9.4 points and a team-high 7.5 rebounds per game in 2016-17. Morrow, who missed seven games because of a foot injury, tied for the team lead in blocked shots with 27 and posted a team-high three double-doubles. He reached double figures 10 times in 2016-17, including a career-high 19 points against Dayton. Morrow grabbed 10 or more rebounds on seven occasions, including a career-high 18 against Gardner-Webb. In his two seasons at Nebraska, Morrow averaged 6.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in 54 games, including 19 starts.

Sorry to see him transferring. I like Tim Miles and just prefer the league to be strong in general, so while their loss might be our gain in terms of our outcome against Nebraska a in couple of games, I am disappointed in this development.

Apologies if I missed it, but does anyone have a list of immediately eligible transfers? I see the Verbal Commits one, but it just list names and isn't that helpful.

Here are some names I see as viable, immediately eligible transfers:

- Ahmed Hamdy-Mohamed, VCU
- Kameron Rooks, Cal
- Kerem Kanter, UWGB
- Mark Donnal, Mich
- Matthew Atewe, Washington
- Sean Obi, Duke

Right now, market isn't full of great targets.

Provided he's fully healthy, Sean Obi is a great target. Averaged almost a double-double as a true freshman at Rice. Was expected to be a big contributor at Duke, but injuries and depth prevented him from making an impact. Should have two years left since he missed this entire year with a knee injury. 6'9, 255, physical rebounder. Exactly what we need.

I would have no issues picking up former Duke players.... In fact I'll take all the Kentucky transfers as well.

Anyone know the deal on Dante Williams. 7' 4* transferring from KSU. BU must be familiar with him even though he didn't recruit him.

Dedric averaged 19.2 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game this past season. He won AAC Conference Rookie of the Year in his first season. It was assumed the 6-foot-8 forward would be headed to the NBA a year after testing the waters. Instead he is looking for a new school.

K.J. missed his first season due to a foot injury. He rebounded by winning AAC Rookie of the Year after averaging 12.3 points and 8.1 rebounds this past season as a redshirt freshman. This will be his second missed season.

Keelon Lawson was hired by former head coach Josh Pastner as an assistant. He was moved to Director of Player Development under Smith after the coaching change

And you'll probably have to give dad a job. Too bad Cuonzo already filled out his coaching staff.

Welp, we are going to need a big or two ASAP. We needed one with JT but now REALLY going to need one. Who are the top big man transfers?

It's a little premature. There will be a lot more athletes announcing that they are transferring over the next few weeks. May into early June is when transfer season really heats up IIRC. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
