It's promising in the Moore interview, not so promising if you listen to Irvin interview.

Mike Irvin is the guy to interview in this situation. Moore is as close to Mike as Nick and as Nick said, Chin and Mike are best friends. They grew up together.

So U think we have a very good chance with Charlie Moore?

Three things I never do on this board - 1. make player comparisons 2. make recruiting predictions 3. follow game threads, but I feel better than I probably should about Charlie. Not only due to the Mike Irvin-Chin Coleman connection but the dates of two things.

coincidence? perhaps.

oh, and welcome to IL. Just noticed it was post number 1.

Thanks been reading for awile.
Really hoping Charlie Moore ends up at Illinois. Watched him play with Lovet and with Ayo. Really good player and a great kid.

With Moore and TJL, we would have the youngest looking backcourt in the conference.

I think at this time it is almost impossible to know at this time where transfers end up. The really good ones like Moore have a lot of options and are going to take their time deciding where they want to go

If that's real (and it appears to be at first glance) then that is...odd?

Makes you wonder if the relationship between the two was bad or Moore already knows where he is going (or at least the state he is going to).
Otherwise I don't get it.

Maybe Illinois is the destination and Cuonzo is saving face like when we offered the job to BU instead of him. Idk I'm just having fun:cool:

“We will not be recruiting Charlie Moore,” Martin said Monday on the College Hoops Today Podcast. “I wish he could have stayed at Cal, but we’ve got two good guards committed here and we’re excited about each of them.”

I thought you couldn't talk about recruits? Is it different because he is a transfer?
