looool

That was a fun few days at least. Let's move on now and tune back in to our regularly-scheduled program of worrying about bigs.

You were right on the news part. LOL

Still in limbo, as I said earlier UNC is where he wanted to go this whole time.

What I had heard was that Pitt is holding their ground and is going to force him to sit, and he was not going for that. He wants to be able to play next year.

We will have to wait and see what happens, but if they don't allow him to play next year, I don't expect him to be at UNC.

Cam Johnson's status is still in limbo, but he committed to UNC anyway.

Court case coming?

If Pitt insists on backing move to UNC either he is completely blocked or he pays own way?

Seems risky on his part, arrogant on unc' so art, but those words seem synonymous. :D

I really hope Stallings stands his ground. But I'm a vindictive sort.

Cam Johnson will be at UNC. I doubt this goes to court.

The NCAA has made up the graduate transfer rule granting immediate eligibility solely on the premise of academic freedom, rewarding college graduates. It will be almost impossible to enforce blocking, which is simply a basketball based rule.

Roy says "Rules? We don't need no stinking rules!" The NCAA won't touch them - what's Pitt going to do?

Eventually Pitt will grant him a release. This story has been written 5x over just this year alone. No matter how you spin it, this is a bad look for Pitt--it's only gonna get worse too.

The NCAA will give UNC whatever it wants, regardless of rules or academics.

Again, this has nothing to do with the NCAA. This is an arbitrary conference rule. The NCAA will not get involved, as far as the NCAA is concerned, Cam Johnson is eligible next year.

Cameron Johnson Commits to UNC Basketball

His father, Gilbert Johnson, explained: "He didn't (get a waiver) yet but per the NCAA and ACC, they says it's illegal to take away a year from him because he's a graduate transfer. It says he can go or not."

His father is referring to NCAA Bylaw 14.6.1, which does not contain the one-year penalty that Pittsburgh is trying to enforce.

"Carolina is going to fight it out," he added.

if a Schollie is year to year, then should be no way to stop someone from going where they want, same as if its 4 years and you want a kid gone they should be able to stay and take up room.

What it comes down to is the NCAA is a joke they make rules , for rules, to enforce rules, about rules. That of course unless your a select few schools then you have your own set of rules for those rules about the other rules.
