This years team does not have the talent people think it does.
I completely reject the implied, and quite circular argument here. Lack of wins = lack of talent. It completely absolves the coach of results. A
lot of teams make the dance with zero NBA guys.
If your coach is bringing top-100 guys, and we have brought in a number of them, and they fail to win, you can't just chalk it up to players not having talent. We had the 16th ranked class in the nation in 2015, second in the conference!
Go look at the offer sheet of the following guys on 247sports and tell me we don't have talent:
Jalen Coleman Lands had every decent program in the conference, and dozens of others like Louisville, Arizona. Tons of coaches would love to have him.
DJW had offers from Kansas, Arizaona, MSU, Purdue....
Leron Black had offers from Louisville, Kansas, Baylor, UCLA...
AJ had Wiscy, Purdue, Indiana, Xavier....
Finke, Wiscy....
Hill was recruited by Weber, but we were worried about losing him, and was 70th in their rankings.
We don't have top guys up and down the roster or on the bench, but few programs do, and I can put our talent up against a lot of teams with better results and come out ahead.
For me, the eye test is pretty simple.
