Miles Bridges needs to go. Too damn good.

I know, but I kind of would love to see him play at MSU another year b/c he's so fun to watch.

When you stated this there wasn't much argument. Now just a couple of weeks later, we should be rooting for him to stay as that could be what tips the scales whether or not Mark Smith goes to MSU or Illinois. Strange how things can change so quickly.

I don't think Bridges has much upside in terms of his draft position, so I'd expect him to go. I've seen him late lottery in a couple mocks, and that's hard to beat.

As far as BIG talent that needs to go, I'd say Bridges and Swanigan are the major offenders.

Half of the first round is going to be college freshmen.

Texas freshman big man Jarrett Allen is done in Austin. School released that he will sign with agent, stay in draft.

Archie is good, but IU might be in a bit of trouble next year.

Wagner and Wilson from Michigan declare. Not hiring agents.

Sources: Michigan State's Miles Bridges cancelled agent meetings, leaning heavily toward returning for sophomore year. Lottery pick talent.

I think this is smart. He could be the #1 pick next year.

Bridges is really really good. I loved watching him play last year. I agree that he could be a #1 pick next year. You know Izzo will continue to develop him if he does come back. But my goodness will MSU be loaded next year if he stays:
Tum Tum
Winston
Langford
Jackson
Tillman

If you add Brandon McCoy and Smith, that's a national championship team.

Is Nick Ward going pro?

Good call, missed him in my list. That's a Kentucky type roster but with Izzo at the helms.

If Bridges doesn't go maybe a minor injury to keep him out of our game??

You would hope he would take out an insurance policy against catastrophic injury.

I'll be holding my breath for him. Zero chance I'd pass up the chance at going in the lottery, regardless of how much development I had left. Particularly as it concerns an uber-explosive athlete like him.

You look at the rookie salary scale though and being in that Top 3 area is a LOT more money. Almost triple versus the middle of the first round. A much weaker class next year, Bridges has the talent to get there, all while spending a fun year with what should be a dominant college team and making himself a more marketable star for a future shoe contract.

Generally speaking I totally agree that sure first rounders should always leave. I think this situation has some unique factors that make it an exception.
