Bridges is staying

Of course he is. He'd be a first round pick easy but, sure, just stay.

Is Frank coming back for his junior year the only time this happened for IL? Honestly, at the time, I felt like he'd made a mistake, but I was glad. In hindsight I don't know if I was right or wrong in thinking he should have left after his soph. year.

Dee breaking his foot.

Dee breaking his foot.

I recall that, now. I guess I never felt like Dee was going to be able to leave early. Who knows. I recall, also, talk of him being bound and determined to leave. I think? Memory fails.

Does Bridges have an injury I'm not aware of, or is he simply coming back because he doesn't think he'll get drafted high enough?

64th out of 64 in scoring. Well maybe he was playing team ball and everyone else was jacking up shots? 64th out of 64 in FG% (3 for 16 with no 3s taken). Umm...

Yeah, didn't have a good showing is pretty generous.

I wonder what happened. Did he psych himself out? He's a better player than that

Oh, that's just straight-up ugly. I wonder what happened; he's obviously better than that.

Malcolm Hill's game doesn't translate to the NBA at all. He doesn't hit many threes and he doesn't get many easy baskets. There is no room for a guy that just hits mid range jumpers.

We are more likely to see Paul or Egwu break into the league than Hill.

I have always liked the kid, but I also have always stated he was not a NBA caliber player.

Under athletic for SF
Under Sized for PF
not accurate from 3
Average rebounder
average ball handler

Was a STUD at Illinois mostly due to players here while he was...Was by far our best player, would not have been for many others. Again like the kid...but?

My hopes for Malcolm in the NBA are fading fast. I hope he makes good money playing somewhere. That guy is awesome and deserves it.

Malcolm will have a good career playing overseas somewhere. Even if it is a small league. I have a buddy playing in Kosovo that is killing it right now, and he is nowhere near the player Malcolm is.

Regardless of basketball, he is a bright kid who has a good future ahead of him.

Wherever Hill winds up professionally, one "league" you may see him in is TBT (The Basketball Tournament). This was hosted by ESPN last year and gained a ton of popularity and will likely be around for awhile. It's a collection of teams that include alumni/d league/overseas/ex NBA players. VCU, Indiana, Colorado, Marquette, etc. fielded teams of alums and it was very entertaining with strong competition. Cory Bradford is rumored to be assembling/coaching an Illini team this year. Some guys rumored to be involved are Brian Randle, McCamey & Mike Davis. Get Rayvonte & Malcolm on that squad ASAP.

That would be cool. Bradley fielded a team last year and made it to the semifinals, I think. One of the 16 team regionals will be held at the Renaissance Coliseum at Bradley this summer. I was planning on going anyway, would love it if the Illini had an alumni team playing.

He probably doesn't have the time, but I'd love to see the Rev coach the team in a future tournament.
