To be fair, both played a ton of minutes yesterday. That being said, Lloyd is a douche.
hey i may be an illini homer, but i was impressed with what Fears and Rez showcased in the first two games. This is total BS.
I wouldnt be surprised if there's some politics to this. many of the other USA players are uncommitted. Rez and Fears, however...
3 or 4 minutes for Morez and not tick for Fears, not an Illini featured half. This is not a good shooting team, nor is it a particularly good team around the rim. But they get 3-4 shots per trip it seems so they get points I guess.

Acuff and Brown have been great. No problem with them starting. But zero tick for Fears? GMAFB
Arizona had offered Fears. maybe he's a little salty?
I'm sure Brad and staff will get this out of his game, but he defends like Curbelo used to. Lots of reaching around and gambling. It pays off sometimes at this tourney but will get torched in D1. When he's played solid and moved his feet he looks fine, just gets tempted too often to abandon his stance.

Who? Fears? His defense is pretty relentless. I like what I see.
Fears didn't play at in the first half. Appears to not have cracked the two-deep. Played basically the whole fourth quarter when game was out of hand.

How did it end up? I have been sheltering from a tornado for the last 45 minutes or so.
Yeah, he has been disruptive, but also had some stretches where he reaches and is out of the play. Just something to work on balancing to be more a little more judicious.
USA won 88-57. 1st place in group with a 3-0 record. They play Puerto Rico in the Quarterfinals on Friday.

Morez is just SUPER active. He doesn't stop moving and working. Fears just seems to dictate how the game is going to be played.
I honestly just don't understand why they aren't playing more.
The other guys are good sure but most of them seem like chuckers and only looking for theirs. Our two guys seem to give a damn about their teammates.
