Wrong state but Iowa PBS is transmitting IHSAA title games, 1A on right now.

Calhoun has been down 1 starter off of last years quarterfinal team all year besides last week and another starter from last years quarterfinal team who hadn’t played since week 7. Crazy fact- Amboy-LaMoile has an enrollment which is higher than

2A semifinalist ALAH -296
1A semifinalist LeWin- 230
1A seminfinalist BC -222
1A semifinalist Hardin-Calhoun - 210
1A semifinalist Stockton - 165 which is lower than the other team in the 8-man final in Polo with 180


Bonus- Brown County only faced three teams who made the playoffs in the regular season. After tomorrow's game, BC will have faced all three teams CPC, Carrollton, and Hardin-Calhoun again the playoff all at the same location as the regular season.

The one friend who lives in Mt Sterling is putting his line as -2 Calhoun. Other friends think the Hornets will make their first state appearance but will come away with a 2nd place finish.

Calhoun scores with seconds left. Shanks the PAT but kicker gets roughed. They decide to go for 2 and the win and BC stuffs it. 14-13 BC. A buddy was at the game said BC played steady and almost mistake free while Calhoun was screwing up all over the place. Of course he's biased for the Hoonies so take that with a grain of salt.

BC like the previous game got a bunch of turnovers. Calhoun also messed up a kickoff which really gave BC insane field position for the winning score and 2pt conversion. The entire 2nd half was crazy.

Fun day for Montini 47-27. Morris had no answer for the 40 first half points Montini put up. Morris has a good offense, but they got stuffed on 2 or 3 4th downs on the first half and Montini turned those right into points. Easy points too. OC Bliss is the real deal.

Breese is currently up on Rochester, we will see. 🍿

That was the craziest/most small town football ending I have ever seen, lol. Calhoun craps it away and then BC tried to TWICE! Couldn't believe the botched kickoff return, the 4th down Hail Mary TD, the roughing the kicker to actually stuffing them on the half yard line! Gotta love it!
