WCIU the U ChicagoEven with the shift in the date and locations for the 5A-8A title games, they will still air on TV.
Number 8 could play at Illinois as a slot receiverFenwick playing well. Theis brothers are solid players.
He beat ESL for a long td run. They weren’t even close.Number 8 could play at Illinois as a slot receiver
on utubeKinda bummed that the games ain't available in my area, guess I got to catch them on IHSA Archives some day,
Thankson utube
Also get Jake Thies on the roster. Helluva football player.

The Theis kids were impressive, and so much for the public vs private school argument, privates have really started to take it to the next level across the board.
Eastside probably wins that game 9/10 times. Fenwick wasn’t scared and didn’t back down to them and found a way to win. LWE should take notes. They talked trash to Mt Carmel all week on IG and TikTok then played scared

And ESL, they have some talent but played undisciplined football, and looked like they weren’t ready to play, or didn’t know how to handle a team that wasn’t scared after giving up some big plays and getting smacked early.
Not taking anything away from Fenwick (my nephews go there), they played a great game and didn’t back down after getting punched in the mouth - unlike my LWE team.
Agree on LWE, they thought they were going to beat MC and were talking LOTS of smack, then just rolled over once the game started.
They actually could have competed and even won, but if you’re going to poke a bear, you better be ready to bring it - and they were not. I was bummed, but after I heard all the smack they were talking, I wasn’t as surprised at the result.
Actually Fenwick was talking some trash before the game to. The difference is Fenwick backed it up. If you ever saw how Scott Thies played you wouldn’t be surprised that his sons are absolute dogs.
The Theis kids were beasts, i wasn’t expecting that level of play from them. They have great coaching too - ESL is super undisciplined and their special teams play was shockingly awful, so was their QB play.
Jake used to play for meanstreets AAU. Very good player. Just very tough kids
The kind of in-state kids we need more of, does anyone know if the staff is giving either of them a serious look?
