a) What do you think the Bears will do?
b) What do you want the Bears to do?

I haven't checked what the roster looks like lately, but iirc they need 1-2 guys on the OL to be solid and 2 deep, so I'm thinking OT first.
I want our QB to have a couple extra seconds back there. A minute would be good!

Prolly an edge rusher on D second.

Then best available offensive skill players - WR, TE, maybe RB

Some mock draft had them trade pick 10 to Indy for their pick 14 and 80, and got a quality OT at 14. Sounds pretty good to me.

BTW - I would love Pat Bryant on the Bears

That might be a great trade. I have no idea if Indy needs to move up 4 spots.

I think a lot of what the Bears will do depends on how the board falls ahead of them. I wouldn't mind Jeanty but I think he'll be gone to Vegas at 6. If Mason Graham somehow falls to them, I'd be thrilled for them to pick him. If they decide to go TE, I've heard them connected to Loveland, the TE from Michigan, who would essentially be the Bears version of LaPorta in Ben Johnson's offense. Offensive tackle will definitely be an option as well.

saw 2 mocks this morning with the Bears trading up to # 5 to select RB Jeanty..................

What do they have to give up to get there? I heard something similar before, giving up one of their 2nds and getting a 4th back. If they really believe Jeanty is that good, it would certainly define their draft.

As a Green Bay fan, I think the same way about Pat Bryant for the Packers. If Bryant is still there at pick 123 (Green Bay's fourth-round pick), I'm really hoping they pick him. I think he would have every chance to work into the wide receiver rotation as a slot receiver.

Trenches baby. OL, Mason Graham or Mykel Williams. Could also see Warren depending how board falls. I’m not as high on Loveland. Think they absolutely will take Jeanty if he falls to them (he won’t) and absolutely should not trade up for him. This is a pretty deep draft for RBs. I would like to see them take TreVeyon Henderson with their first pick in second round.

Not really an NFL fan anymore (thanks to Stan Kroenke), but it's nice to see running backs being valued again. I always thought superstar running backs were good for the league, and the perception in recent years of running backs as interchangeable parts was bad.
Agree. When I think of all time NFL stars I think of QBs followed by running backs. Grange, Brown, Sweetness, Dickerson, Sanders, etc. Those guys are all legends.

Absolutely, positively 100% agree! It takes a lot of great players to make a good football team. Bear fans have seen what trading up has done in the past. The previous regimes have been so dumb with that.

#'s 10 , 39 and 148.....................

Does anyone here NOT think that would be insane?!
So many positions of need in a deep draft, to give up 3 high picks just to move up, and grab a non-position of need??

IMO it would make more sense to trade 10 for, say 14 and 80, like that prior mock draft yesterday.
Unless the top OL or DL guys fall to 10.

PS: I'm going to be at one of my wife's big events tonight, and I know I am going to get grief for pinging my phone multiple times for draft updates.

This draft overall has every chance to make teams make some big mistakes. Not a good draft in quantity or quality in my mind. I think the only way you’ll succeed in this draft be a to pick a lot and hope a couple pan out.

In other words, (your favorite team here) would be crazy to trade up. If anything, trade down and hope a team is desperate to move up so you can fleece them.

I think the Bears trade back into the early to mid 20's and get another 3rd round pick. I say take an offensive tackle in the 1st round (Conerly, Jr.) Then take an edge at 39 and get a DT at 41. Then, get a running back like Skattebo at 72 and a TE or LB with the other 3rd round pick received from the trade.

I would be fine if the Bears drafted Jeanty but I don't think it's because RB's are becoming important again....

Saquon and Henry played behind two of the best OL's in the NFL. Both of those teams are top teams with strong rosters overall.

Neither RB was with the team that drafted them. Jeanty is just a fantastic player who I believe is worth being a top 10 pick, but I don't think RB's are suddenly vital to a football team being good.

RB is one of the deeper positions in this draft. Jeanty is really good, but not worth moving up for. If he’s there at 10, I have no problem with the pick. If not, there will be high quality RBs available tomorrow.

Bears OL is still suspect. Too many holes on roster to trade up. Now if he is there at 10, fair game and still have 39 and 41 coming up.
