It would be a tall task for Purdue to beat us on a neutral court in the semis the way Purdue is playing. We’d have to beat Purdue in our 2nd game. That’s a tall task for us.

Purdue still has to play Indiana at Mackey Arena on Sat.Purdue looking like 3 or 4 seed in ncaa
Wisconsin probably getting to a 2 seed
It does stink that in the B1GT we could actually be playing Fri, Sat, and Sun before having to play with tired legs a first round game on Thur.I care. I think we have taken our lumps and go into march with a chip. I think if we had this lineup all year, this would be a different story but we still have a very good chance at the banner we all seek. We want a deep run. We want a Natty. I care.
Wisconsin will be two seed in Midwest with path through Milwaukee and Chicago. Purdue just lost hopes of Midwest regional.Purdue looking like 3 or 4 seed in ncaa

I don't think that matters being that he's owned IU for about 5 years before this season. What matters how well he does in the tournament. This team was one of the few teams picked to win it all and if he has another early exit then he will be under tremendous fire. This is probably his most talented and deepest team. He has to get to at least the Elite 8 with this group.
Yeah I'm perplexed by that. The one thing about Purdue is that Painter is like Keady in that he is probably in a pretty comfortable spot no matter how many NCAA tournament failures he has. And Keady had boatloads of embarrassing NCAA tourney failures. Their fanbase isn't as rabid as their rival is. Some will demand change but they will look at it as who else is going to coach that will be better.I’d be asking how you take a team ranked 34th in defensive efficiency to 102nd the next year with the exact same group of guys. I think Painter is a good coach, but Purdue’s inability to defend at even a bottom-4-in-the-Big-Ten level is puzzling.
Could do it at 19-1 if your loss is to a team you play twice.Very true, but the only way that you don't rely on other teams to lose to win a B1G title is to go 20-0. Guaranteed a co-champ without any help.![]()

Aha. I agree, then!Yea I went back and removed part of my post.

I'm wondering if it's possible Big Ten doesn't get any teams higher than a 3. Efficiency based metrics don't love Big Ten this year. Kenpom has Purdue as the highest ranked at #13. NET at #12. Only Torvik has any Big Ten team in the top 10 with Purdue at #9. And none of them have Wisconsin in their top 20.Purdue looking like 3 or 4 seed in ncaa

I forgot which year it was hit once, the teams that split the championship all got 4seeds (maybe 3 of the 4?….it’s been a while). I could see something weird like that happening. In this case, if Indiana beats Purdue and Neb beats Wisc, and we win out, I could see something like that happening (3/4seed). Unfortunately, I think we have the most ground to make up toI'm wondering if it's possible Big Ten doesn't get any teams higher than a 3. Efficiency based metrics don't love Big Ten this year. There's still a tournament left next week to change that.Wisconsin better be thanking their lucky stars they didn’t have to play the Illini twice this year.
Kofi simply owns them.
Doesn't change the regular season though. Not sure if Illinois wins the BTT but I think Illinois has the best shot in the Big Ten to make a run in the real Tournament. There's still a tournament left next week to change that.
Wisconsin had 9, not 11.This still bugs me:
In the non-balanced B1G schedule this year,
Wisconsin had eleven games against the conference bottom 6.
Purdue had 8.
Illinois had 7.
