6 seed - 50%
7 seed - 45%
8/9 seed - 5%

that about right?
Probably about

6 Seed - 54.9%
7 Seed - 45.0%
8 Seed - 0.1%

We are taking way too much stock in two very big beatdowns (Duke/MD). The resume is too strong to be put as an 8 seed. I simply can't see one conference tourney loss knocking a team down two seeds (we were in the 6 territory going into game). If Illini lost last night, we would be talking about a safe 7 seed, but yet somehow going 1-1, folks are thinking a 2 seed drop. It makes no sense.

Call me an optimist.

6 Seed -80%
5 seed - 11%
7 seed - 9%

Fortunately, the committee doesn't just look at a team's last game in a vacuum. Our resume still looks decent and the teams around us didn't really do anything to separate themselves either.
Maybe not 80% but probably like 65% for 6 seed.

88% 6, 12% 7. Would be very very surprised if we aren't a 6, especially with BYU, Marquette, and Mizzou also getting beat down today.
Let’s hope Maryland isn’t the 3-seed in our region lol. (Is there a rule against that since we played them twice)

If we are a 6 or 7 we won't be in their region. Committee stays clear of conference teams on the same side of bracket unless there are more teams than sides of brackets i.e. 8 sides and 9+ teams. SEC has that possibility this year.

They would obliterate Illinois. Jackson and Jefferson would own the inside. Jones is a stud and Lipsey and Gilbert, if healthy, are huge problems, too.
Iowa St hasn't obliterated anyone for a while. They've been obliterated a lot lately though. Well maybe not obliterated but they haven't looked very good.

I actually think a 6 in Milwaukee is pretty likely. The 3 seed sites are looking likely to be Milwaukee x2, Wichita, and Denver. UCLA and BYU are other likely 6 seeds that would slot into Denver/Wichita even if higher on the seed list than us.

If I were buying two hotel rooms on spec they'd be in Milwaukee and Providence.
