Man, what a nice season for Wisconsin. Who saw that coming last spring when it felt like all their good players were leaving and nobody thought Guard could run a big program?
The Badgers had a great portal. The Tonje kid has been unbelievable and Blackwell game has gotten better. If you get the right players you can still have a good season. Wisconsin has had the best portal guys in the Big10.

I know this is probably a foolish question. Could Ty Rogers lose his red shirt if he decided to play in the NCAA tournament? Just asking for clarification.
Yes. Checking into a game, even if 1s on the floor (maybe even 0s) is enough to cost a season. They are looking at changing this rule to allow players to play in 4-5 games without losing a season. Nothing in the new rules says when those games need to occur. It looks like under the new rules Ty could have stepped in during the injuries without penalty.

Now that Wiscy has won, if MD wins the tournament, wouldn't this turn out exactly like last year? 2 seed wins it, 2 vs 5 in the final, 1 vs 5 and 2 vs 3 in the semis, and the exact same in quarters as well?

I may be wrong because I haven’t watched him much, but Fears seems to do a lot of flopping. Perfect player for Izzo to be able to scream at the refs

I'll admit, I was pretty mediocre at my job when I started, too. I'll let you know when I decide I'm good at it (probably never given my extreme case of impostor syndrome).
That reminds me of an Illinois music prof I used to go hear play in a jazz combo at the old Nature's Table on Goodwin in the '80s. He ultimately departed for the Eastman Conservatory in Rochester. I saw his farewell solo piano concert in Krannert in 1990. Before the concert he said a few words, one of which was how he recalled being a junior prof on campus in the early '70s and giving piano lessons on the side to local kids. He basically said that he wanted to apologize to all of the ones he taught for approximately the first ten years he was doing it, because he was fumbling his way toward minimal competence.

A lot of us have experienced that feeling. I started teaching a course a couple years ago at a local college and, as I sit here polishing Monday night's lecture, literally thought the same thing before I read your comment.

You're apparently a tenured prof, my friend, in a devilishly complicated discipline at a Tier I research university. Ease up on yourself.

Spare your loathing for Hamer. It works for me! ;):ROFLMAO:

Michigan on a run and are up 4 on the Twerps with 4 minutes left in first half. Makes you wonder about our game planning... or lack thereof.

Remember - Terps had 56 at the half last night. Anyone think they will do that again ?

They were unconscious shooting. It happens. We happened to catch them at
The wrong time.

We happen to catch just about every team we play "at the wrong time". At some point, you have to look at what the constant is.

So, we beat Michigan by 20. Maryland beats us by 23. Maryland should handle Michigan easy. Michigan up by 4 at half. I don't understand. I guess I never did.

I swear the older he gets, the more Wally (won't even try to spell his last name) looks more and more like Leonard Nimoy.
