Great example of why you shouldn't pay attention to stars. Matt Haarms from Purdue, three star recruit, freshman, killing it in the NCAA tournament. This kid is going to be a nightmare for years to come.

Painter knows what players fit in his system regardless of rank and he recruits them. Something Weber was not really good at, and I don't think Groce ever really knew what his system was exactly. Underwood should be great at this, only time will tell.

Purdue is so much worse with Haarms on the floor, but I agree with your point generally.

Love Haarms passion and intensity and not sure that shows up on recruit profile, but it's a valuable attribute. He has pretty good hands too. He will be tough...maybe fletch can moonlight and help him (hope not though:)

Sparty goes down. Wow, what a disappointment. Didn't look like they put up much of a fight when they go down the stretch and can't score a single bucket.

9 out of their last 10 shots had to be 3s, including turning down a couple layups for it. They were starting to feel the pressue real early.
