Indeed talented but inexperienced: the freshmen played greatly, but a tournament game could be something brand new for them. Even a roster with Zion, Barrett, and Reddish didn't manage to reach the final four in 2019.
Not like North Texas was littered with tourney experience. And Purdue didn’t just manage to not reach final four, they failed to win a Game. Sorry if OSU, Purdue and MSU losing messes with the narrative of B1G being the best conference, but the first 2 were bad losses, and considering how much grief Pac 12 gets on here MSU borders on a bad loss.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. The Big Ten has shown throughout the year to be the best conference. Ohio State losing is gut punch to that narrative, but on the whole, I'd rather be in the B1G's shoes than any other conference heading into today's games. Rutgers, Wisconsin, and Maryland all winning yesterday certainly helps bring back a sense of Big Ten dominance.

The Pac-12 though... they came to play!

I predicted a lot of upsets this year. I called Ohio and Oregon St. Unfortunately I thought UCSB and Winthrop would pull it off also and didn’t predict Oral Robert’s, Syracuse, ACU, UCLA and North Texas.....

Post script on the Pac-12. They lost a lot of games early to stricter covid protocol than most of the country was using. Quite possible that caused the teams to take longer to play well.

Thats what one of my Pac-12 buddies asserts anyway. Its a change from the usual “entire country rates us worse, East Coast Bias” etc.

UCLA is playing way above their heads. They've had 2 guys that can't miss and they're still just getting by.

Tennessee was just not that good. Not really sure why, but I'm pulling for Oregon State 100% today.

Who's fairly pleased this morning that we got BU instead of Shaka (in '12) or Archie (in '17)?
Ask me after today’s game 😉

Haha win or lose, I’m confident we have the right man for the job & our program is in a very good place.

But still - let’s make it a win.

I picked against every pac 12 team except usc who I think is the truth. Shows what I know.

I did the same but Colorado instead.
Seriously doubt that any PAC-12 team will make it to the Sweet 16, with the possible exception of UCLA. Wouldn't mind, however, if USC could slip by Kansas. And, of course, would sure like to see Oregon State take out Oklahoma State.
