Creighton jumping and double teaming the ball screens similar to Loyola.

UCLA having their way with Abilene Christian (didn't think ACU would mean much, it certainly wouldn't have meant anything to me)

Michigan off to a good start in their attempt to make the BIG faceplant complete. Down 8 early.

We need to get away from the ball screens and with the length we will have next year, there is no reason why we cannot run the same offense Creighton runs. Movement, passing, open looks and points.

even if michigan wins this game the big ten has been extremely disappointing. Is there any reason why?? was the big ten just not good? wth happened?

The conference needs to change the way they play. Wisky with the slow plodding game is hit and miss. Others run offenses that are easy to defend. This is the reason why we have not won a Natty since 2000.

Is there a reason why we got seeded against Loyola rather than Michigan? We match up so much better with LSU...

The selection committee denies it, but they have a history of setting up games or possible games with "back stories" .
Its why Texas had to play Abilene Christian
It brings eyeballs to the TV's when games have these side issues. We were supposed to play OkSt if we won and they won, but both teams lost. Would have been Underwood against his previous school coached by his previous asst.

True but its really BS. The worst 1 seed is supposed to get matched up with the best 8 seed if I remember correctly and Loyola was far and away the best 8 seed. If they are going to do this then seeding within a seed line should not matter.

truth is , Loyola should have been a 5 or 6 seed. the NCAA underseeded them on purpose so they would play us

What was Loyola's seed within the 8 line? Going by the rules they should have been the 3rd best 8 seed to get matched up with us.

The selection committee lets the back stories influence things. They should select the 68 and then have a blind voting system and do a straight S curve to rank 1-68. Top seed determines which region they are. It’s not hard unless you make it more about entrainment and ratings.

Ratings, man.

One thought is that big ten teams beat up on each other so much this year that there wasn’t much left. Also I think part of our problem was expending a great amount of energy in the big ten tourney right before NCAA, and having to stay in Indy didn’t do us any favors mentally. And I wouldn’t discount big ten officiating is so different (and worse) than what we’re seeing in the NCAA. Or, we were simply over-rated.
