Uh OK a team with 13 losses was impressive. They beat Dayton 5 weeks ago. That's it, do your research. We are a top team in the country and we destroyed them. Much like all teams yesterday and today.
Go time will be Thursday, lets kick Iowa St in the teeth and move on.
Nice to get past first weekend. By the way.
CAN YOU NAME A TEAM IN BIG12 THAT IS LEFT, BESIDES Iowa St tumbleweeds?
This hurt my grammar bone.

Uh ok they beat Dayton on March 14. That's not 5 weeks ago. You do your research.

Refs aren't helping at all. Long stretches of not calling any contact interrupted by the slightest nudge draws a foul.
That was a very poorly officiated game. None of those officials should work another game on this tournament. The scoring for this crew should be really low.

I'm starting to wonder how much of the missed NU buckets at the start of the game was UConn forcing them to alter their shot or if they were just playing tight. Even for a depleted team, they're putting up a decent fight in the second half.

You'd also think that playing Edey twice a year would prep you for Clingan, but who knows. The kid kinda seems like a tool. Wouldn't mind watching him fall flat on his face.

If Buie goes for closer to 20 this would be a much more interesting game, he’s usually so crafty and has faced Edey twice, maybe just outta gas?

I wonder if the ways NIL has changed recruiting, and the seeming tendency for teams to really want to "get old," has narrowed the funnel for good players. As in, are there fewer good/experienced players at mid majors now because they're all getting poached by big programs, and therefore CBB is even top heavier than most people suspected?
Also, they have fewer super seniors available, and next year is the last year for that so they will have even fewer. That extra experience helped a lot of those teams last year.

A team that truly takes after its coach

There were a lot of times GCU had no clue in the half court. I'm just not sold on Bryce Drew as a coach
I would tend to agree. No one would prob. dare say it now but there was a time not to long ago that people said some of the same kinda things about Scott. That was from other conference coaches too. Some of thst was probably jeaslousy…but a lot was fair criticism about some of his chops too IMO. Talent and recruiting covers up a lot.

Houston fouls 3 or 4 times every A&M possession. This crap needs to get called.
I’m convinced being a top-5 defensive team is as much about PR and marketing as it is about actual coaching and execution on the floor. Once you earn that rep it seems you can get away with relative murder and only be whistled for a fraction the fouls actually committed, because no one wants to actually call all of them.
