Who does everyone have today? Fingers crossed we'll get two really good games.

Guessing 90 percent or more of Loyalty is rooting for Arkansas and Nova.

I'll be the contrarian.

Would like to see Houston win to say we lost to a Final Four team, even though I dislike their coach as much as anyone.

And I've got to say as much as I don't like Duke and don't like Carolina, I think as a college basketball junkie a Duke-North Carolina Final Four game would be pretty cool. Plus I'm not sure how anyone could find Eric Musselman that likeable anyway.

Villanova is about the only team left that I could stomach to win the championship. All the "good guys" are seriously gone.

Stage is set for one of Duke, UNC or Kansas. I’m all in for the underdogs.

St Peter's?
General question... Do we think St. Peter's underachieved this year or are they just on an incredible heater with some luck thrown in? They finished a full 3 games behind Iona in the MAAC standings during the regular season and would have been in the CIT or something if they hadn't won their league tournament.

The Nova Forwards' mobility & athleticism seems to be an answer to Houston's playing strategy. Neither us nor Arizona has such players in the start-up 5.
RJ also played quite well in the Houston game.

Houston looks like they’re struggling like we did against their defense. They’re playing iso ball, no movement

The article above was just shared with me. A team that’s played together for a while under some not so ideal conditions.

Houston fouls (mainly hand checks) on every possession... if they ran into the wrong ref, their whole team would foul out.

Villanova looking too disciplined for Houston. Only 3 turnovers and the half is almost over.
I noticed that on one of Nova's "turnovers".

Our guys should be taking notes from teams like St. Peter’s and Villanova. Taking care of the ball (limiting turnovers) and hitting free throws goes a long way in March.

Houston can still come back but Villanova seems to be their kryptonite. Houston thrives on forcing turnovers and Villanova doesn’t turn it over much. Houston also plays aggressive D and can rack up lots of fouls depending on how the refs call it. Villanova is the best FT shooting team in the NCAA.

I love watching Villanova play. Perfect footwork. Head fakes. They value the ball. They stay on their feet. Don’t reach. I’d like to know how much time they spend on just those fundamentals.
