Bruce Weber looks very relaxed, very happy, with his current role as a tv analyst. I’m happy for him, a good guy.
Couldn't agree more and happy to see! He's so enthusiastic and joyful!

I do remember years ago as a bulls fan I hated Jeff van gundy since he was the Knicks coach. As a coach he looked haggard and deathly from the stress. But when he became an announcer years later he looked so much more human and happy. My friends and I would joke please don't ever coach again, clearly it was killing you!

Ethan Morton might be my most hated player in the conference. Dude is the biggest flopper in the league and then asks for flop warnings on other players.

Doesn't anybody know how to execute a short pull up jumper anymore?

Purdue advances over Rutgers, not really seeing any brackets today that have Rutgers as higher, so that's another team Illinois should be LOCKED ahead of.
The general basketball fan in me likes this Rutgers team a lot. I'll for sure tune in to watch Rutgers play in the tourney and I hope they do well.

Watching all these games this week and it feels like this is the lowest talent level ever in college basketball. And I thinks it’s directly attributable to the G League poaching players, and the portal breaking up the continuity of teams.

It’s great for the players, although I wish they could go direct to NBA, but the product is suffering. I hope it doesn’t end up like college baseball where the best guys bypass it in favor of the minors

Bubble teams can breathe a HUGE sigh of relief. Florida Atlantic avoids a furious 16-point 2nd half comeback from Middle Tennessee, including at the end of the game when FAU, up 4, fouled a three point shooter that made the shot, then that player MISSED the free throw, but the ball was OUT on FAU, and Middle Tennessee could not convert multiple opportunities and FAU hung onto win.

This probably locks FAU as a higher seed than Illinois, assuming North Texas wins the other semifinal, even a loss wouldn't be a bad one. UNT is a bit of a paradox, they are not far from the cut line, but a win over UAB and loss to FAU is almost certainly not enough for At-Large, and while a win over FAU might make them good enough for an At-Large, a wins means they'd be Automatic and thus that question becomes irrelevant.

So, basically, if FAU does not win tomorrow, it's still a bid thief scenario, as their resume is certainly good enough to make the field, while a loss means they will take an At-Large bid the Conference wouldn't otherwise get.

I was blanking on our other Big Ten Championship game losses besides 99, 08 and 2004 and when I looked it up I was reminded that we also lost to MSU in the 2000 championship. Can't believe I forgot that one because it was the only Big Ten championship game I've ever attended in person.

But to be fair, we lost by 17 so it wasn't all that memorable. I think the lone highlight was Cleotis Brown hit a buzzer beating three before halftime to make it a ten point game.
