Millers minutes weren’t going to go down here. Ayo played 35 minutes a game last year. Those minutes have to be replaced. Miller and Curbelo were both in line to take up more of those.

Miller was going to be at worst our 3rd best player next year. He’s certainly not going to play less as a sophomore than his first year when Ayo/Kofi were on the team.
Curbello Trent and monte. Better. Hutch better. Then all the new guys. So with just those I mentioned makes him at least 4th. Never a big Miller fan. Live in nc so I wasn’t privy to all the “hype” in his high school career. He clearly is scared of competing.

If it’s LSU, that is at best a lateral move and most likely a step back. Their offense looks like unstructured AAU ball. He wouldn’t develop at all there.
I think LSU makes a lot of sense given what he's said (or others have said for him) and is exactly what he's looking for: a coach that will give him the ball and a long leash and let him take a bunch of shots. Cam Thomas 2.0. I'm guessing he doesn't view this move in terms of development but rather just as a 'showcase' for all the skills he 'wasn't able to show in Illinois' system.'

I could see him being mad at how much Curbelo shot it last year. If he was told to lay off bc it wasn't successful while curbelo is told to put up shots because A. He was more effective, and B. It opened up better feeds for Kofi. I don't agree with it but it could explain it. IMO with Kofi being 50/50 at best to return and Ayo going pro he had to see opportunities coming his way no matter how many nba all star selections Hutch recieves this year at Illinois (I'm guessing 3). I just look back to curbelo trying to record that triple double in garbage time when only he and AM were on the court. AC found him multiple times for good looks from 3, showed me (and hopefully AM) that Curbelo can get the ball to anyone he wants to within the offense at any time.

Big Tim is an idiot and not a person to be taken seriously. Think about this: he states AM was told he could create his shot more and not be a spot shooter.

Wellllllll, how many times do we all remember AM getting wide open looks from 3 and taking them? He could just as easily have faked, let his guy fly past and taken the ball to the rim. AM’s role was what AM determined it to be. Plain and simple. And when he was missing shots, BU was still green lighting him.

I’m not an insider and I don’t know why AM is transferring (potentially). It really doesn’t matter. I wish the kid the best of luck if he leaves and wish him the best of luck if he stays. But, to say he’s transferring because the coaching staff is making him be a player he doesn’t want to be is laughably naive.

I hope this thread is over after that time. I could care less where He or any assistant goes. I want to root for people who want to be part of the Illini family. Win or lose.

We're still talking about Mark Smith. You really think we're going to let this go?

You're better off just ignoring it, imo.
