I hate everything.

BUT, we're still not fully healthy, there were bad calls, we were cold from the line, missed some easy lay-ups, we are clearly not even at our peak, we stunk on D, and we STILL almost pulled this one out. I HATE losing(God, do I hate it!), but we're gonna be scary good this year.

This feels like the Mizzouri team that beat Ayo/Kofi Illini team. Think Illinois is more complete, but not their night. Too many missed free throws, 3 pointers, mental mistakes.

Didn’t play well in a lot of areas but were still in it. Might have exposed some areas of weakness in the 1st 10 minutes of the 2nd half. Absolutely could not get a shot and then that affected their D. Still a really good team and getting healthy. But also there are some issues.

Definitely a huge bummer but we will be fine. Simply have to have a healthy Tomi playing at a high level in a game like this

It really is, so frustrating as I know he has done so much with a broken program, but I am just not sure he has it to get to the real top. Oh well we were in the game, but really outplayed badly by them in the second half

This team needs a Ty. The redshirt discussion needs to die. We need an energy and athleticism guy. We could’ve used that this second half.

We’ll be better. Get Tomi healthy. Integrate Petro. Get Ty back. Game on come January.

That game basically showed the upside and downside to this roster:

Upside: plenty of guys that can score. Our bigs really pass the ball well and we get an open shot most possessions.

Downside: Not enough quickness. The weakness is perimeter defense and the drop coverage getting exploited. Once Bama stopped firing so many threes and went to work against the drop IL had no answers. Bristow was huge for them

I think IL still wins a lot of games this year just having so many guys that can score. But I don’t see us competing against the very top athletic teams.

Had our chances but no Boswell in the first half, poor free throws and missed open 3 pointers spelled doom.

Good college basketball game. Learn from it and grow, free throws have to be better.

Mihailo looked very good. Tomi needs to get his fitness back.

Two buy games coming up, get locked in before the next stretch. Split the two tough ones then get ready for conference play.

There was talk about how Z is the kinda player that can drive ya crazy at times (via Ark and UK fans)... i'm kinda verging on that area with Tomi tbh.

I'm a homer, but eff it, I love this group. Bama's scrubs stepped up and made 3's, while our studs missed open ones (3's, layups, and free throws all included) that I have confidence they'll hit moving forward.

This Bama group, Philon most included, bricked wide open 3 after wide open 3 at home against Purdue. Get Ivisic back in there, Petrovic involved, and I pray we get these dudes again in an Elite 8.
