Sorry bud your credibility just took a major hit.
Guess you didn’t see the back to back 21 point games against Iowa and Indiana. Or the 19/6 against Michigan St. Or the 20/7/3 against Rutgers. Or the 13/10/5 against FSU in the Elite 8.
Look, NBA scouts have legitimately watched every second of game tape this kid has...not just the 3 “Iowa” games you watched on BTN. Franz has length, versatility, incredible defensive prowess, is a good passer, has high basketball IQ, has prospect and family pedigree and a good stroke. His 3pt percentage isn’t great but he shot 87% from the free throw line which many NBA teams will see as an indicator he’ll be good from 3. I think NBA teams will see him as a stretch 4 who can guard multiple positions on switches and be an multi faceted contributor on offense. Those things are important when building a team, even if he doesn’t necessarily become a superstar. Thus, the Golden St speculation...
If the NBA was about drafting the best players at that moment in time, Ayo and Luka Garza would be top 5 picks. But its not. The NBA game is completely different and scouts and teams have to think in those terms.

There's something I find hard to quantify, but I've heard people say a given player plays "big". Wagner has that IMO. You watch him in the post, and assuming you slot him as a 4, he's a space hog, physically framed to put on more power, and able to move in the post. Does everything well. Not sure how he'll develop, but I can see how some have him late lottery.

Agree that the NBA is completely different from college these days --I don't really follow the NBA, but when I do watch during the playoffs, I'm a bit surprised at how different from college it's become over the years. Production is pretty far down the list, compared to gauging whether that player's game will translate. Kofi is kind of the poster child for how different the games are --a generational All America with incredible power who wasn't on many draft boards.

Ayo - predictions I've seen have ranged from #21 to #41. Anywhere in the first round would be great!!!!

I'm surprised there's been no buzz about Phoenix being interested at #29. Perhaps they want more of a pure point ready for the post-CP era, but they have a clear need for another CG that can play on and off the ball. Relying solely on Cam Payne behind CP and Book didn't cut it (and he might be gone). Would be fun to add another Illini connection to that franchise too.

Waiting is making me so nervous, which seems to be a theme on this site. Good luck Ayo!

The Athletic report from yesterday about Lakers being his floor at 22 seems to be the highest outlook for Ayo I can find. ESPN's final mock has him at 32 to the Knicks, SI has him at 31. CBS Sports had him at 25, and the betting sites having him under 26.5 is probably the most accurate indicator out there.

Lakers trading could change this
Yea seems like they are getting close to trading that 22 pick to Washington. If that happens and the Wizards pick him I would both happy and sad as a DC native. Happy because it makes it easy to root for him and sad because the Wizards don't have the best track record of developing draft picks not named Wall or Beal.

Wizards - second choice. Only because we can go watch him often!

Ayo 20th to the Hawks. "As for Ayo Dosunmu here for the Hawks, his stock seems to have risen quite a bit as he’s made his visits and worked out. His jumper has some questions to it, but he’s got a great sense for how to attack. His size in the backcourt makes him a perfect guard to either back up Trae Young or occasionally play them alongside each other. He can score. He can move the ball. He just needs to take better care of it."
