Because we will likely have an open scholarship or 2, and Groce isn't one to let scholarships go unfilled. Not much out there left for incoming freshmen except for charlie moore.

Has he ever not taken a transfer at Illinois? I am pretty sure he has taken at least one every year, and we seem to need one just as bad this year as we did in previous years.

Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN Milwaukee grad transfer Akeem Springs (@SpringsAkeem) has committed to Minnesota, he told ESPN. Immediately eligible for 16-17.
6-4 2G from Waukegan. Averaged 13 points a game, with 21 against Notre Dame and 33 against Youngstown State. Can only help that poor Gopher team. And good for Akeem (I remember him from high school) to play a season in the B1G.

Illinois has reached out to a few of the Milwaukee transfers. I believe they had 3-4 kids leaving, and most had immediate eligibility.
What's going on there? I've seen a headline about players telling the truth on what actually happen or something like that

I honestly have no clue. I followed them a lot during the year, and they were a very talented team. Strange to see an exodus like this, which makes you think something is up there...
