"The Big Ten Conference will allow a limited number of fans to attend the 2021 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament presented by SoFi, which will be played March 10-14 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Following approval by the Marion County Health Department, the decision to allow a limited capacity of 8,000 attendees was made jointly by the Big Ten Conference Directors of Athletics and the Council of President and Chancellors in consultation with the conference office."

Interestingly (to me), with 4 days to go in the season, not a single seed has been clinched for the BTT. However, what we do know now:

- Minnesota, Penn State, Northwestern and Nebraska will play Wednesday in the 11-14 and 12-13 matchups.
- Michigan and Illinois have clinched double byes and will be 1-2 in some order.
- Iowa, Purdue and Ohio State will be 3-4-5 in some order
- Wisconsin will be the 6 seed unless they lose, Maryland wins, Rutgers loses and Michigan State loses (very unlikely).
- Indiana will be the 10 seed unless they win and Michigan State loses twice (very possible).
- Maryland can be anywhere from the 6 to the 9 seed.
- Rutgers can be anywhere from the 7 to the 9 seed.
- Michigan State can be anywhere from the 7 to the 10 seed.

Has anyone saw a tournament bracket with times listed?
Specifically, with Illinois the likely 2 seed, what time would that game tip off next Friday?
Doesn't hurt to plan early

Man is the #1 seed getting royally screwed with the game time. How can the B10 justify that? Is that how its always been?

It does seem so. Basically it has always just seem to work top to bottom of the bracket. Illinois has ended up on that 8/9 seed line a lot in the past, according to my memory, so I always remember them playing early and then potentially playing the 1 seed early.

Changes to BTT start times this year-

The first Wednesday game starts 30 minutes later at 6:30pm ET
The first Thursday & first Friday game starts 30 minutes earlier at 11:30am ET

Everything else looks to be the same

Stadium capacity is 70,000 for football. I have no idea how it is configured for basketball.

As a rule viewing basketball in a football stadium sucks. Given the seats that an average fan can score you are better off watching it from home.
I went to the Final Four there in 2015 to watch Wisconsin & Michigan State... I would tend to agree.

It has always been the 1 seed plays the first game on Friday and would play the first game on Saturday to give them the most rest for Sunday. The have moved the times up on the Quarters and the Semi's.

Tonight's games clinched the #1 for Michigan, #2 for Illinois, and #14 for Nebraska. Michigan State can no longer be higher than #8, and Iowa still hasn't clinched the double bye, as they would be the #5 if they lose and Purdue and OSU both win.

I believe I prefer a grudge match first game vs. MSU or Maryland. Rutgers is probably also in play, but I most want Izzo and the Spartans.

Seems like we're going to get either Purdue or Iowa for the semi-final matchup (I'll take the Boilers).

So we've gone this far and now we're going to potentially allow COVID+ individuals into some proximity to the players? Granted the odds are small, but, hey, there are more contagious variants out there too. Can we just not and allow the teams to get to the NCAAs safely? Indiana is not exactly an example of safety during the storm.

Yeah they better have a really concrete screening plan cause I’d be pretty upset if some random Hoosier messed it up for our guys.

My hate for Michigan and the big ten front office has grown so much that I want to crush Michigan in the tournament championship more than anything in the world right now.
I kind of want to destroy MSU first because while it forced other guys to step in place of Ayo, what they did was ridiculous.

At this point I just want them to lose out. Would love to have Sissy Izzy watching the dance from his couch. IMO that is the best outcome at this point. I would love to destroy them in the BTT but that would require them to win in order to face us. I would also be a bit concerned that DMW would get ejected for the rest of the season for dirt rolling their entire team.

From what the link above says they will be using the two court format at Lucas oil that is going to be used for the ncaa tourney. So I would imagine that means a curtain in the middle with courts in each end zone. 8000 out of a potential capacity of 30 or 35000 total capacity is not terrible. I went to the final four in Stl in 2005 which was also a configuration with the court in end zone and sight lines weren't terrible.

I prefer playing the very worst possible teams at every point in both the BTT and the Big Tourney. Who cares about grudges or style points? Just give me WINS at every juncture through Game 6 of the NCAA Tourney and you'll never even remember who we beat, or how.
