There is this great arbiter of justice known as the court system to handle his punishment. He's hardly getting a free pass on this as he'll have to deal with the legal ramifications. When you're talking about a misdemeanor I highly disagree it should significantly affect his work life (such as being punished further). Just don't let him drive for any part of his job. Now whether he was deserving of the position/promotion in the first place or not based on merit is a whole different debate...
Then it shouldn't significantly effect a player's life either. For whatever reason you aren't making the connection.

At what point did I say that I think it shouldn't be the same case for both? Oh wait... I didn't say that...

Is there any chance that Whitman re-evaluates the Cubit situation and makes a change in advance of this upcoming season?

I assume Cubit will get his shot this year - but wouldn't hate swift action from our new AD.

I'm going to say Aaron Moorehead next year as HC.

Due to the lack of D1 experience I don't think anyone expects ADJW to make any changes with Cubit or Groce in the immediate future. I think there are some changes that need to be made within the athletic department first and foremost to give him the solid footing he needs to evaluate and improve things. If Whitman had already had loads of D1 experience and connections where he could make immediate changes of that magnitude, that would be a whole different story. I like the hire, but I believe it will require a degree of patience on our part, more than maybe we would like.

Yep - I'm on board with that. Sound logic. I think given the state of the program and the schedule this year, it's bound to be a 1 year and exit for BC. Barring something incredible...

Probably can add Groce to that list and probably even Bollant.

I disagree. I think the set-up for Groce for next year is light years ahead of where Cubit is. Same for Bollant. Both basketball teams should be much better. Football might be better, but the schedule looks to offset that.

The question, for all three, is not going to be what happens next season, it will be what happens next season and what can we expect the seasons following that.

I think Cubit and staff may be allowed to finish the regular season and be immediately replaced with a new HC, OC, and DC as well as many of the other coaches. The new staff will pick-up the recruiting and bring in a better class than this year's. Just MHO.
