Because they have won 13 of the last 17 national championships?Maybe in the minority here, but I effing hate any and all SEC teams more than any other team. I’m glad Michigan won.
Let’s go Washington!

Sometimes you just get what you get.If you can choose a human suit, would you choose Ted Cruz?
Aliens aren't that stoopid . . . .I'm convinced that Ted Cruz is actually an alien in a human suit.
It's an alien trying to learn how to be a human.Aliens aren't that stoopid . . . .
And failing miserably. It's an alien trying to learn how to be a human.
B1G vs. B1G* final, each defeating an SEC/SEC* team. I'll take it.
Tough one to pick. Each are far better at home. On paper Orca has all the advantages, but in a muddy turf war the Deer might prevail.White Tailed Deer vs. Orca

I think I'd have to side with the orca, even on land.Tough one to pick. Each are far better at home. On paper Orca has all the advantages, but in a muddy turf war the Deer might prevail.
Found it, it's home for the Orcas. No contest.I think I'd have to side with the orca, even on land.

And from the Jersey Shore to the salty beaches of Southern California... the rest of the Big Ten looks on with envy and figures out how they will try to compete in the New Big Ten which just raised its high level of play to yet another level.
For points per game the best record near them was 4 - 8 Michigan State. The others were along the lines of 2 - 10.Was Iowa’s offense the worst in the history of power 5 football since they have kept records.
Playing the games on New Year’s Day definitely helped.Absolute monster TV numbers for the Rose Bowl, wow. Biggest since inaugural year of CFP, and up about 23% over last year's highest rated CFP game.
You mean like they have since the Rose Bowl started in 1902?Playing the games on New Year’s Day definitely helped.
Except last year. (Don’t know of any other times it has happened)You mean like they have since the Rose Bowl started in 1902?

He meant the playoff semis. Since inception they have been played in December 6 times, and now 4 times on Jan 1st. I think the semis on the 1st are much more appealing. You mean like they have since the Rose Bowl started in 1902?

It goes to Monday to avoid conflicts with the NFL, I believe. Robert did a write up on it last year since we had a Jan. 1 bowl that shifted to the 2nd for that reason. As far as I know, they typically don't play the Rose Bowl on January 1 if it falls on Sunday. Or at the very least they don't have the parade that morning.
One of the enjoyable things about the Rose Bowl from lovely Pasadena in the San Gabriel Mountain foothills is that it is very often played in warm and beautifully sunny weather. And often, much of the rest of the United States is NOT that way but cold and blustery on that day (but not always).
And so even if you didn’t particularly like the game matchup you’d turn the game on to see bright sunshine and palm trees and people dressed for beach weather. And dream of feeling that way yourself.
And then you’d go outside at halftime and shovel two feet of snow off your driveway and ask yourself why. But then you’d remember that most of the throngs of people packed into the stadium are getting sunburned and hot out there. So there's that.
So you’d go back outside again and shovel some more... but still wish you could be sitting there to see those San Gabriels (mountains) up close like you can when the smog is not too thick.
And you wished again that it was the Orange & Blue you were watching instead of 'THEE'... or any of those other uniforms.
