My friends brother is on their minor league team down there. First round pick out of HS a couple years ago.The Yankee spring training complex just down the road?
Where would they go then? Home?
Cotton Bowl or the Orange Bowl. They don’t want to go back to the Rose Bowl for a likely rematch.Where would they go then? Home?
There’s still a lot to be decided this weekend but right now either Tampa or Nashville.Seems to me that if Ohio St were to go to the orange bowl then that would probably bump us down to Nashville? Seems that the Reliaquest bowl can't pick a B1G team if a B1G team goes to the orange bowl?
Why would OSU not want a rematch in the rose bowl? Does it really matter?
Bet they would like the pinstripe bowl. Only way to find out is by putting them in there and see what the turnout is.Don't think their fans or players would want to do the same thing as last year especially when it doesn't have playoff implications.
If college football expanded like 15 years ago, it’s possible major conferences would’ve been intact…Looking forward now that the Rose Bowl is singing a different tune, how does a 12~team playoff work? Do only lowest ranked 8 play in the first round?
What a bunch of bull. It looks like we’re going to get screwed over.According to the Athletic the BIG loses its Tampa bowl slot if OSU is in the Orange Bowl and PSU goes to the Rose Bowl. For what it’s worth, they have us going to the bowl in Phoenix on the 27th against Baylor. They put Iowa in Nashville.
This would be absolutely outrageous.According to the Athletic the BIG loses its Tampa bowl slot if OSU is in the Orange Bowl and PSU goes to the Rose Bowl. For what it’s worth, they have us going to the bowl in Phoenix on the 27th against Baylor. They put Iowa in Nashville.
There is no way that Illinois drops that far. I think Charlotte is the lowest Illinois can go. It seems like these "experts" forget that Iowa fans are pretty fed up with the team their team this year, and rightfully so. With the way their season ended, there is no way they would be a big ticket or tv draw.According to the Athletic the BIG loses its Tampa bowl slot if OSU is in the Orange Bowl and PSU goes to the Rose Bowl. For what it’s worth, they have us going to the bowl in Phoenix on the 27th against Baylor. They put Iowa in Nashville.
Remember when the Rose Bowl was kind of a big deal? Why would OSU not want a rematch in the rose bowl? Does it really matter?
Better get out to the Louvre this weekend folks, it's reopening as an Apple Store on Monday.
I imagine you play it as a four-round, sixteen team tournament, with the top four getting first round byes. Not sure how numbers can work out where lower ranked teams play against one another, and still end up with 8.
I think I saw somewhere that OSU only sold like 3/4 of their allotment last year.Don't think their fans or players would want to do the same thing as last year especially when it doesn't have playoff implications.
